We kick off this year’s community events with this year’s Local Author Showcase Saturday, April 25th from 10-2. A great opportunity to showcase their literary talents, promote their work, as well as connect with fellow authors and the local community. In May is the Annual Memorial Day Weekend Rummage Sale. ALL proceeds go back into the community, with special outreach to the Hood Canal Food Bank.

June brings our Funfest celebration of our Golden anniversary on June 20th! Watch for more  details on our events  page. This summer watch for our Market on the Hill and Music on the Hill events featuring local artisans, crafters, music and more! Not only are these a huge draw within the local community but also the hundreds of visitors here during the summer months at Lake Cushman. In addition, we have a weekly sewing club, monthly book clubs, senior fitness classes, and other events including wildlife presentations, Red Cross disaster preparedness, arts and craft workshops, and more. After summer we have the Blessing of the Animals and Trunk or Treat in October.

Another huge event is our Annual Christmas Bazaar, held each November featuring wonderful creations from our talented community artisans and crafters. Our women’s group also spends the year knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, and baking all kinds of gifts for folks to buy. One of our biggest community events that the community and visitors look forward to every year.
